Torchy's Tacos
Michael Rypka, the Torchy's founder, opened his first taco truck in Austin, Texas in 2006. Rypka built his business on free chips and homemade salsa and tacos that were quickly labeled as "damn good." This fast food restaurant chain has 50 locations and is still growing. Torchy's Tacos has been dubbed "America's Best Tacos." Aside from tacos, they're also known for their queso and chips. People come here for the fast food tacos, but the breakfast and brunch options are also popular. This fast food restaurant chain has 50 locations and is still growing. They have locations in Colorado, Oklahoma, and Texas, of course.
Torchy's is available for dine-in, pick-up, and delivery through Uber eats and Doordash. Torchy's has a three to four and a half star rating on average. Because of the large number of locations, it is normal for a chain restaurant to have an average rating.
Now, I'm from San Antonio, Texas, so I like to think I know good tacos, and Torchy's, in my opinion, doesn't meet those high standards, especially at the prices they charge. Don't get me wrong, the tacos are decently sized, but the flavor just isn't there. The rice is made up of carrots and other cut up vegetables, but it has an odd taste to it. Most people would say it was because of the location I went to, but there was nothing wrong with the location. It appeared to be very sanitized and clean, and the staff was friendly, so it's just how the food is prepared as a whole, which is fine because everything isn't for everyone, and Torchy's Tacos just isn't the best for me. Torchy's Tacos is something I would recommend to anyone. To be honest, no. Only because if I recommend a restaurant, I'm more than likely going to eat there, and I'd rather not waste my money.
